Remembering Wildlife, the photography book series that raises awareness and funds to protect endangered animals, is launching a new audiobook, bringing the stories behind the acclaimed series to life in a powerful new medium.
Voices for the Vanishing is a collection of essays and introductions from the ten books in the Remembering Wildlife series. The audiobook officially launches on Tuesday 3 March 2026 — World Wildlife Day.
Each chapter is narrated by Remembering Wildlife founder and producer Margot Raggett MBE. Wildlife presenter Gordon Buchanan MBE, a regular contributor to the Remembering Wildlife books, has recorded a special introduction.
Voices for the Vanishing is a spoken companion to the popular visual books in the series. Each chapter offers insight into a particular species under threat, the challenges they face, and the extraordinary efforts being made to ensure they are not lost forever.
Margot Raggett MBE said:
“Voices for the Vanishing gathers ten years of conservation stories — from elephants and rhinos to pangolins and big cats — and I’ve personally narrated each chapter so they can be listened to anywhere: in the car, on a walk, or out in the bush.
It is a powerful, personal reflection on endangered species, the people fighting to protect them, and the role that images and words can play in saving the lives of animals in peril.
It is a chance to hear the heart, context, and purpose behind the images. We expect it will be popular among existing Remembering Wildlife supporters, while also reaching a brand new audience.”
The audiobook (Length: 5 hours 45 minutes) is available on Audible, Spotify, Apple Books and other major audiobook platforms.
As with all Remembering Wildlife projects, 100% of profits support conservation initiatives protecting endangered species around the world. To date, the series has raised more than £1.25 million / US $1.62 million for 82 frontline conservation projects across 35 countries.
Existing Audible members can use one of their monthly credits to listen. New listeners can access the audiobook through Audible’s free trial.

About the Remembering Wildlife Series
The Remembering Wildlife series was created by wildlife photographer Margot Raggett MBE, who was moved to act after seeing a poached elephant in Kenya. With each of the ten books published — Remembering Elephants, Remembering Rhinos, Remembering Great Apes, Remembering Lions, Remembering Cheetahs, Remembering African Wild Dogs, Remembering Bears, Remembering Leopards, Remembering Tigers and, in 2025, the milestone publication 10 Years of Remembering Wildlife — Margot’s goal has been to produce the most beautiful book ever created for each species, using images donated by many of the world’s leading wildlife photographers.

The series has sold more than 60,000 books and distributed over £1.25 million / US $1.62 million to conservation projects worldwide. More than 300 of the world’s best wildlife photographers have contributed to the series.
An 11th book, Remembering Giraffes, will launch in October 2026.
Famous supporters of the series include Pierce Brosnan, Michelle Pfeiffer, Ricky Gervais and Russell Crowe.
