Remembering Wildlife, the photography book series that raises awareness and funds to support endangered animals, has revealed the 20 winning images that will be included in its 10th book in the collection.

10 Years of Remembering Wildlife will be the first multi-species book in the series – and the biggest yet – when it launches on 6 October 2025. The book will feature the 20 winning images alongside some of the favourite photographs from the previous nine books in the series, plus a brand-new section on the world’s most trafficked mammal, the pangolin.

This year’s stunning pangolin cover image is by Tristan Dicks. All funds from sales of the book will go to pangolin conservation projects.

Images in the book have been donated by many of the world’s leading wildlife photographers, including Marsel van Oosten, Frans Lanting, Greg du Toit and Jonathan & Angela Scott, who will also write the foreword.

Remembering Wildlife exists to raise awareness of the plight facing wildlife, as well as funds to protect species at risk. More than 55,000 books have been sold worldwide since its first title, Remembering Elephants, was published in 2016. All profits from the books go to conservation and more than £1.2m GBP/$1.55m USD has been donated to 79 projects in 34 countries.

The guest judges this year were wildlife photographers Art Wolfe and Federico Veronesi, both long-time contributors to the series. The judges said the standard was incredibly high, making it one of the toughest years yet for them to narrow entries down to the final 20.

Head judge Margot Raggett MBE, founder and producer of Remembering Wildlife, said: “Although it made our judging very challenging, we were delighted by the incredibly high standard of images submitted. If only we’d had space, so many more could easily have graced the pages of this year’s book.”

A Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign to raise money to produce the book hit its £20,000 minimum target within the first five minutes of going live, on 28 March. The Kickstarter runs until 9pm BST on 27 April and exciting rewards are available for Kickstarter supporters, such as first-edition books, prints, jewellery and safaris, depending on the amount of money pledged.

Margot Raggett MBE added: “Quite simply, we can’t do this without the generosity of our supporters to get this book published. With their help, we can raise awareness of the threats not only facing pangolins but also wildlife as a whole and through sales of this book, we can raise funds to support those on the front line. The conservation world has been devastated by the recent USAID cuts and this is a way for the rest of us to stand up and say it is unacceptable.”

The Remembering Wildlife series of books was created by wildlife photographer Margot Raggett MBE, who was moved to act after seeing a poached elephant in Kenya. With nine books already published – Remembering Elephants, Remembering Rhinos, Remembering Great Apes, Remembering Lions, Remembering Cheetahs, Remembering African Wild Dogs, Remembering Bears, Remembering Leopards and Remembering Tigers – Margot’s goal was to make the most beautiful book on a species ever seen, using images donated by many of the world’s top wildlife photographers.
