What type of photography will we focus on?

This workshop centres on photographing professional models in a variety of styled settings around Carcassonne. Sessions include fashion, portraiture, boudoir-inspired elegance, evening street shoots, and a full creative day at Château Belflou.

Where is the workshop based?

We are based in Carcassonne. While the hotel is functional rather than glamorous, it provides a comfortable base from which we travel to our dedicated shooting locations.

Will we photograph inside the hotel?

No. All creative sessions take place off-site—in curated indoor and outdoor spaces, historical settings, and our dedicated château location.

What happens during the Château Belflou day?

This is one of the signature experiences: a full day working inside a real medieval château. Participants will photograph models in historical rooms, stone staircases, grand halls, and atmospheric architectural spaces that lend themselves to richly styled imagery.

How many models are involved?

We work with a small team of professional models. This ensures consistent styling, high reliability, and strong collaboration with photographers.

How much guidance will I receive?

Throughout each shoot, instructors assist with lighting, posing, creative direction, and scene refinement. Whether you need help establishing your shot or want freedom to explore independently, the programme accommodates both.

Do you provide image reviews or critiques?

Most workshops include optional image-review sessions, allowing participants to refine their work with constructive feedback from the team.

Do I need to bring lighting equipment?

No. Portable lighting systems and modifiers are provided for group sessions. You may bring your own kit if you prefer, but it is not required.

What skill level is recommended?

All levels are welcome, but basic familiarity with camera settings (ISO, shutter speed, aperture) will maximise your experience.

Are meals or transport included?

Transport for all workshop sessions is included. Meals are at your own cost, allowing flexibility to enjoy local restaurants in Carcassonne.

What should I wear or prepare for the outdoor shoots?

Carcassonne evenings maybe cooler. Comfortable footwear and layered clothing are recommended.
