The Comedy Wildlife Awards are at it again, you know all those lovely cute funny cat pictures you love, well these guys take that to a whole new level, not only do they raise money towards wildlife conservation they give you a good laugh into the bargain.

FROM WALTZING polar bears, to a hippopotamus that should have gone to Specsavers, the world’s funniest animal awards have their finalists – and this year you can vote for your favourite.

Out of thousands of photographs which were entered, these are the final 41 which have made the cut – and they are guaranteed to make you chuckle.

The Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards were founded by wildlife photographers and enthusiasts Tom Sullam and Paul Joynson-Hicks.

The competition works alongside the Born Free Foundation to highlight a more serious matter; the importance of conserving our planet’s beautiful wildlife.

Wildlife photographer and co-founder Tom Sullam said: “In just three years this competition has gone from hilarious to utterly ridiculous humour – all provided to us by these fantastic animals.”

Among this year’s top entries are a red squirrel doing the splits by Geert Weggen, a shocked sifaka lemur by Jakob Strecker and a face-palming grizzly bear by Danielle D’Ermo.

The winner of these hilarious awards will be announced at a ceremony on November 15, 2018.

The founders of this award will be deciding on the winners of each category, along with wildlife TV presenter Kate Humble, actor and comedian Hugh Dennis, wildlife photographer Will Burrard-Lucas, co-founder of Amazing Internet Andrew Skirrow, photographer Simon Pollock, wildlife expert Will Travers OBE and the Telegraph’s online travel editor Oliver Smith.

This year they also welcome a new judge – the Managing Director of Affinity, Ashley Hewson.

Affinity Photo will this year be sponsoring a new award – the Affinity People’s Choice Award which welcomes members of the public to choose their favourite photograph, with the chance of winning an iPad.
