It not only works for digital images. It works both ways; if you have film that has been scanned into digital images then the effects you can produce are just as creative.

The images on page one were made from digital images except for the last example which was photographed in the heart of Les Corbières in southern France. Very quickly different effects can be achieved and you now have a selection of images to choose from.

A Gentleman of Provence

This is my 'Gentleman of Provence' photographed during La Transhumance near Aix en Provence when shepherds depart with their flocks of sheep for other pastures. I love the colour image, but yet again.............. well how do you choose what fits the best?

This photograph was taken 22 years ago on Kodachrome 64 slide film. At that time it was either Kodachrome 25 ASA or 64 ASA which was the standard film used by professionals and amateurs alike to get grain free images.
